Glenda Darlene (Reynolds) King

Glenda Darlene King, age 63, of Frost, Texas, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.  Funeral services will take place at 10:00 am, Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Frost Baptist Church, with Pastor Ronnie Dabney and Michael Chambers officiating.  Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas.  Burial will be at Frost Cemetery.

Glenda was born July 4, 1959, to Leslie and Katherine Reynolds in Dallas, Texas.  She was the eighth of eleven children.  She was the wife of Jackie King, and they shared thirty-five years of marriage together.

She was a wife, sister, daughter, aunt and a friend to many but the two titles she wore best were mom and grandma.  Her kids and grandkids were her world, and she did not mind telling anyone that.  Glenda was always their number one cheerleader in everything they did.

In addition to spending time with her family, she enjoyed cooking, working in her yard and house, reading, camping and going to all her grandkids’ sporting events.  She was always cheering the loudest in the stands. Not only was Glenda a great mom and grandma to her own kids, but she was also a mother figure to many others and loved them like her own.  She was the type of person who would do anything for anyone. 

Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Katherine; her sisters, Jennie, Rita, and Caroline; and her brother, WT. She is survived by her husband, Jackie; her two daughters, Hollie Scott and husband, Kevin of Frost, and Jolynn Easton and husband Chris of Lovelady; her grandkids, Karlie and Keri Scott, of Frost, Ace, Colt, Casen, and Cody Easton of Lovelady; her sisters, Kathy, Frankie, Terry, and Theda; her brothers, Butch and Rocky; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
