Glenda Sue (Ball) Lewis

Glenda Sue (Ball) Lewis, 78, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022, in Waco, Texas. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall in Hillsboro. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 am, Friday, July 29, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall, Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro.

Glenda was born in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1962. After graduation, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and worked for First National Bank in Dallas for seventeen years. Next, she helped start a company called Share Draft Services, then started college in the 1980’s. Glenda studied at Dallas Bible College and later transferred to Dallas Baptist University, graduating in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in business. Glenda then attended University of Texas in Dallas, studying psychology, and received a life coach degree. Her working career ended with FDIC in 2006.

A member of the Central Baptist Church, Hillsboro and Hillsboro Ex-Student Association, Glenda enjoyed caring for her plants and flowers, knitting, sewing, and cooking. She had a particular passion for baking cakes and pies. Glenda was an avid forty-two domino player, listened to old country music and enjoyed attending the barn gatherings at D.L. and Clara’s on Thursday nights.

Preceded in death by her parents, R.C. and Lillian (Allen) Ball; and her brother, Billy Gene Ball, she is survived by her daughter, Brystol Lewis; three grandchildren, Craig Lewis, Alyssa Lewis, and Kyle Schultz, Jr.; eight great-grandchildren; and her sister, Ann Wills.
