Isaias "Ike" Flores

Isaias “Ike” Flores Sr, 71, of Whitney, Texas was called home Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Texas Health Huguley Hospital in Ft. Worth. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 30, 2020, from Noon-6:00 p.m. with a celebration of life from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. A church service will be held Monday, August 31, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Apostolic Church in Hillsboro, Texas. Ruben Flores and Pastor Armando Montes are officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory led by Pastor Art Ramirez. 

Ike was born July 13, 1949, in Mission, Texas to Rumaldo and Eulalia Flores. He was united in marriage on August 24, 1968, to Elida “Lily” Montes. Ike was a farmer in West Texas where he acquired a great work ethic. After moving to Hill County, he was employed by Fleming Lumber Company and Tucker Lumber Company. He later drove with United McGill for 25 years, worked in the concrete business for 15 years and was currently employed by Martin Marietta. He was a member of the Hill Apostolic Church in Hillsboro. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lydia Nichols; and brother, Rumaldo Flores Jr. 

Ike is survived by his wife Elida “ Lily” Flores; children, Isaias Flores Jr. and wife, Karol of Whitney, Adela Solis of Vero Beach, FL, Vicky Barbee and husband, Frank of Whitney, and Jacob Flores and wife, Haleigh of Waco; grandchildren, Kevin, Kassie, Trey, D.J., Kolby, Alyssa, Jaden, Anna, and Layne; seven great-grandchildren; beloved pet, Chloe; brothers, Joe Flores and wife, Hope of Morton and Ruben Flores of Lubbock; sisters, Rosie Ramirez and husband, Arthur of Albuquerque, NM, Aida Vega and husband, Robert of Levelland, and Anita Reyes and husband, Ricardo of Levelland.
