Obituary
We are sad to announce the passing of Jacquelyn Renee Gibson. Jacquie succumbed to Cancer on March 26, 2023. She was 51 years old. She had an especially aggressive and painful Stage 4 metastasized melanoma that quickly spread to her liver and lungs. She passed away in her cherished tiny home located on the farm in Blum, Texas with her mom, Patricia Bottino, and dear family friend, Gerry Donaldson, by her side.
Jacquie was born on June 8,1971 to Patricia and Burley (Blackie) Lee Gibson, Jr. in Columbus, GA.
She is predeceased by her life partner David Hamilton (2014) and her beloved father, Blackie, Gibson, Jr. (2020). She is survived by her mother Patricia Bottino (Texas), sisters Autumn Bottino (Nevada), Ara Mata (Texas), beloved family friend Gerry Donaldson (Texas), her Aunt Janet and Uncle Danny Allen (Texas), her Uncle Joe and Indy Kirkland (Georgia) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Jacquie did not wish to have a memorial. She was at peace with her illness, a devout Christian, a kind and loving daughter and a loyal friend. She loved cooking, her dogs and her work with CASA.
