James Allen Ayers

James Allen Ayers, 82, of Osceola, Texas, passed away on January 21, 2022, after a short illness.  Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro, Texas, at 11:00am, on Friday, January 28, 2022.

James was born on April 14, 1939, to Ben and Oleta (Atkins) Ayers in Itasca, Texas.  He attended Itasca High School and graduated from SMU with a degree in psychology. 

He had a long-running and successful career at Chaparral Steel Company in Midlothian, Texas.

He was devoted to his home and spent his life enjoying the farmlands of Hill County.

James was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by brothers Joe Weldon Ayers, Jack Wayland Ayers, and Clifton Frank Ayers; nieces Julia Diann Spencer and Sabre Ayers Wright; great-nephews Reagan Spencer and Jude Spencer; and great-niece, Aubrey Yocham.
