Jerry Wayne DeArman, 81, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. Funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, October 13, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church, 915 Corsicana Highway, Hillsboro, with burial to follow at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro. Visitation will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Jerry was born March 6, 1942, to Clint Dalton DeArman and Doris Mildred Meyers in Hillsboro, where he grew up. After high school, in 1960, he married Kathleen Hennig at Christ Lutheran Church in Hillsboro. Jerry joined the United States Air Force in 1962, where he was assigned many different duties. In 1966, he was stationed at Bien Hoa Air Base in Vietnam, during which time, he moved to many locations with the 173rd Airborne Division. Upon return to the United States, he was stationed at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. In 1969, Jerry was assigned to the 443rd Airlift Wing in Altus, Oklahoma. Next, he was assigned to the 7th Bomb Wing at Carswell Air Force Base, Fort Worth, in 1970, then, in 1977, he was assigned to the Naval Air Station Keflavik, Iceland. Jerry returned to Carswell in 1978 and retired in 1983. He went to work for General Dynamics, now Lockheed, and retired in 2011. Jerry and Kathleen lived in Burleson, Texas. A longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church, Jerry served as an Elder there for many years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Clint Dalton DeArman and Doris Mildred Meyers and his brother Leonard Hilton, Jerry is survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Kathleen; daughter April (DeDe) DeArman; brother Clint DeArman and wife, Sheryl; sister Donna Sims and husband Aubrey; brother-in-law Johnny Motley; granddaughter Allison Scanlon and husband Kohl; granddaughter Emily Vandewater and husband Jason; grandson Ryan Chappell; great-grandson, Ryker Scanlon; and several nieces and nephews.
