James “Jim” Elijah Parman, III, 77, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2020. Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2020 at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Graveside services with military honors will be held 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Jim was born December 18, 1942, in Nashville, Tennessee, to James and Edith Parman. He was a submariner for the U.S. Navy, businessman, rancher, and most importantly, the husband to Mary Cole Parman for 56 years.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, James Parman.
Jim is survived by his wife, Mary; their son, James (Jimmy) Elijah Parman, IV, and his wife Angie Parman; his mother, Edith Parman; sisters, Faith Garner and Susan Massey and husband, John Massey; nieces, Tammy Wright and husband, Matt Wright and Emily McPhillips and husband, Rich McPhillips; nephew, Benjamin Massey and wife, Toni Massey; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
