Joan Sue Oldham, 68, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away March 15, 2024, at Ascension Providence Hospital with family by her side. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors, Hillsboro, Texas.

She was born on July 17, 1955, to Clyde and Betty Bennett, in Gatesville, Texas. Joan was raised by Archie and Sadie Moffett in Mosheim, Texas.

Joan met and married Donald Bartley, Sr. and had two children. She worked as a waitress at Darlene’s Restaurant and at the Clifton Café. Joan was also a caretaker at Texas Home Health.

Preceding Joan in death are her parents, Clyde and Betty Bennett; grandparents, Archie and Sadie Moffett; brothers, J.C. Bennett, Robert Bennett, Jerry Bennett and Ray Sell; aunts, Artie Moffett, Evelyn Moffett, Merryhelen Terrell; uncles, Billy Moffett, A.J. Moffett, Lynard Moffett and Jimmy Moffett. She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Balderas and husband, Joel, of Hillsboro; son, Donald Bartley, Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Waco; granddaughters, Stephanie Carmona and husband, Jose, Hali Flores, Sydnei Lambert, Madison Bartley, Nevaeh Balderas; great grandsons, Xander Carmona, Ace Martinez, and Trace Martinez; aunt, Beaulah Hayes; sister, Sissy Durango and husband, Alazar; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters.
