Joseph Randolph "Randy" Branscome

Joseph Randolph “Randy” Branscome, 78, of Penelope passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at his residence.  Private family services will be held.  Mr. Branscome will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday, April 10, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Randy was born May 4, 1941, in Hillsboro to Weldon and Jane (Monday) Branscome.  He was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School.  After 30 years of service, Randy retired from Walmart.  On August 7, 1987, he was united in marriage to Virginia “Ginny” Branscome and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2019.

Survivors include his daughter, Lisa Mynar and husband, Anthony, of West; granddaughters, Stephanie Shirley of Hillsboro, Lyndsey Shirley and significant other, David, of College Station, Kaylie Mynar of North Richland Hills, and Whitney Barker and husband, Dustin, of Buda; great-grandchildren, Austin Lewis, Mason Lewis, Maddox Montgomery, Hendrix Barker, and Skyye Morrow; brother, Ronnie Branscome and wife, Nancy, of Fort Worth; sister, Janetta Ellis and husband, Richard, of Waco; beloved dog, Cash; and numerous nieces and nephews.
