Juana R. Sanchez, age 76, of Hillsboro, passed away in her home on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Hillsboro with Father Ouseph Thekkumthala as celebrant. Rosary will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at 6:00 p.m., at Marshall and Marshall Chapel. Visitation will follow until 9:00 p.m.
Juana was born August 28, 1943, in Mexico, the daughter of Pedro Ramirez De Los Santos and Maria Concepcion Puente Garcia. Juana married the love of her life, Adan Sanchez November 10, 1961. In 1973 they moved to Hillsboro from San Antonio. Juana loved to be outdoors gardening. She also loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Juana really enjoyed shopping and cooking. When she was younger, she liked to play volleyball. Juana loved to go back to Mexico to visit her family every chance she got. She also loved to pray.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her six siblings.
She is survived by her children, Alfredo R. Sanchez, Eva Sanchez-Torres and husband, Salvador Torres, Veronica Sanchez, Alberto Sanchez, and Elizabeth Sanchez; siblings, Dario Ramirez, Hilario Ramirez, Dolores R. Villanueva and Rita Ramirez; grandchildren, Aaron Mark Torres, Korey Adam Torres, Zakari Jay Torres, Brittany Nicole Sanchez, Claudia Evette Sanchez, Mercedes Tatyana Sanchez, Mark Mendez, Alfredo Sanchez, Jr., Joel Roberto Sanchez, Jazmyn Elizabeth and husband, Michael Earl Garrett Jr., Jaymee Elexis Washington, Jacquelyn Elyssa Washington, and Jaysin Kayd Miller; and great-grandchildren, Michael Earl Garrett, III, and Anthony X'zavier Javier Luna Jr.
