Lois "Lopey" (Cain) Millard

Lois “Lopey” Millard age 94, of Hillsboro passed away Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Wesley House in Hillsboro.  Private family services will be held.  Mrs. Millard will lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro.

Lois was born July 15, 1925 in Hillsboro, Texas to William Floyd and Bettie Jewel (Poe) Cain. She graduated from Bynum High school, attended Navarro College, and graduated from Baylor University. Lois taught school in Penelope, Corsicana & Bynum. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bynum, teaching GA’s, Primary S.S. classes and she was church secretary.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Millard; father, Floyd Cain; mother, Bettie J. Cain; and brothers, Pat Cain and Gene Cain.

Lois was survived by her children, Cathy McDowell and husband, Jim, and Steve Millard and wife, Gail; sisters-in-law, Glenda Cain and Sandra Cain; grandchildren, Brad McDowell and Shelly, Craig McDowell and Erin, Dustin Millard and Krista, and DeAnn Chinase and Bob; 9 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 402 Main St. Bynum, Texas 76631.
