Mable (Taylor) Stroud

Mable (Taylor) Stroud, 92, of Granbury passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in Stephenville.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 5, 2022, at Whitney Memorial Park in Whitney.

Mable T. Stroud was born Mable Taylor on Aug. 22, 1930, to George and Ophelia Taylor of Whitney, TX.  The middle daughter in a family of 11 children, she departed this earthly life on Wed., Nov. 30, 2022, in Granbury, TX, where she had resided for the past 23 years.

Mable is survived by a daughter, Lydia Chapman (husband, Richard) of Victoria, TX, daughter, Christi Smith (husband, Bob) of Granbury, TX, multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren and now great-great- grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carrol A. Stroud, son, Michael and daughter-in-law Vivien, her parents, one sister, 6 brothers and multiple in-laws.

Mable always considered her greatest blessings in life to be the close, loving family she was a part of and the personal walk of faith she took every single day of her life.  While the family mourns the loss at her passing, it is mixed with equal joy in knowing a great heavenly reunion has taken place, welcoming Mable home.
