Mackiel Don Cochran, 73, of Hillsboro, Texas, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, in Hillsboro. Graveside services will take place at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, December 3, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro, Texas.
Born to Riley James “Mack” Cochran and June (Williams) Cochran Haver on December 19, 1947, in Hillsboro, Texas, Mackiel attended multiple schools while his father served in the military. He worked for Towne Square Furniture, Brookshire’s, and Walmart. Mackiel was a lifelong and faithful member of First Assembly of God Church in Hillsboro. An avid Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers fan, he enjoyed leatherworking, and working with models. He loved music including gospel music and especially enjoyed Elvis Presley.
Mackiel was preceded in death by his father, Riley James “Mack” Cochran; his mother, June (Williams) Cochran Haver; and his stepfather, David Charles “David” Haver. He is survived by several cousins and friends who were like family, including Bobby and Ann Ward.
