Mary Winnette Sullivan

Mary Winnette Sullivan, 95, of Waco, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro with Brother Barron Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Brandon Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021, at the funeral home. Facial masks and social distancing are encouraged.

Winnette was born on June 28, 1925, in Brandon, Texas to J.A. and Lurene (Gibson) Williams. She professed her faith and was baptized at age 13 and faithfully followed the Lord the rest of her life.  She married the love of her life, R.C. (Dick) Sullivan on Aug. 28, 1942. R.C. and Winnette raised their family in Euless, TX. Winnette worked for Sky Chefs at American Airlines Learning Center until retirement in 1980. She loved country and gospel music and she make many trips to Branson, Missouri to listen to her favorite singers. Winnette loved her family & was known for baking pies & cakes. She was always baking each one’s special dessert when they were coming to visit. She occasionally got on a Harley Davison. Winnette was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Hewitt. The family expresses appreciation to the staff of Brookdale Lake Brazos & Compassus Hospice.
Winnette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, R.C. Sullivan; her sister, Wanda Cooper, and her granddaughter, Trisha Jennings.

She is survived by her daughters, Lana Woods, and husband Noel of Robinson, Deborah Kay Loven, and husband Butch of Corpus Christi; son, Joe Sullivan, and wife Jennifer of Gainesville; granddaughters, Karen Deleon and husband Arthur, Audra Lucas and husband Jeff; grandsons, Quintin Woods and wife Julie, Will Holt and wife Jenny; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
