Melinda Ward Obituary

Melinda Jo Ward, age 67 of Whitney passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at her residence. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney with Greg Johnson officiating.

Melinda was born January 27, 1955, in Washington State to Olan Ray, Sr. and Bonnie Lee (Castleberry) Samford. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by everyone.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ray & Bonnie; husband, Eddie Ward; and brother, David Samford.

Melinda is survived by her children, Melissa McKee and husband Cory of Durango, Colorado and Laura Ward and husband Wayne Seely of Whitney, Texas; brothers, Billy Samford and wife Angela of Saltillo, Mississippi and Olan Samford and wife Bettie of Hewitt, Texas; and grandchildren, Kynnadi Seely, Madison Seely, and Taylor Seely; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
