Mona Lea (Humphries) Nix

Mona Lea Humphries Nix passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021. Due to the weather, funeral services have been rescheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021 at the First Baptist Church of Blanket, Texas. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment will follow at Blanket Cemetery.

Mona was born January 24, 1942 in Abilene, Texas. Mona cherished her grandchildren and family. She love to collect antiques, fish and hunt arrowheads.

Mona was preceded in death by her father, Loyd and mother, Christine Humphries and father and mother-in-law, Dan and Rosa Aline Nix.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Nelson Grant Nix; daughter, Bettye Nix and sons, Ricky Nicky and Terry Nix; 15 grandchildren 17 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great grandchild.
