Monte Don Hill

Monte Don Hill 60, passed from this world to his heavenly home on March 4, 2021. A graveside service held under the direction of Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Lebanon Cemetery with Jeremy Beggs officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00pm- 7:00pm on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the funeral home in Whitney.

Monte was born in Clifton, Texas on August 8, 1960 to Darwin “Dob” and Cleta Fern (Gant) Hill. He grew up in Aquilla and graduated Aquilla High School in 1978. He graduated from TSTC in 1980. Monte worked at Time Manufacturing in Waco for many years.

Monte loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was always helping others doing plumbing, carpentry, mowing yards, whatever needed doing. He married Paula Cathey Atkins on March 12, 2001 in Waco. His days were filled working with Paula tending cows and ranching. He lived next door to his parents and enjoyed helping them. Monte’s dogs held a special place in his heart Blackjack, Ruby and Mandy.

Monte is survived by his wife Paula Hill, parents Darwin and Cleta Hill; sons, Allen McCutchan and wife, Jennifer, Mark Hill and wife, Amanda, Joshua and wife, Caitlin all of Aquilla, Joe Atkins and wife, Amanda of Waco; sisters, Cheryl Snipes and husband, David of Aquilla, Beverly Ham and husband, Russell of Sulphar Springs, grandchildren, Ashlyn and Lachlyn McCutchan, Ryan and Brynlee Hill, Jacob and Cameron Hill all of Aquilla, Tyler Atkins of Kansas. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Two aunts and an uncle.
