Nancy Arnold Obituary

Nancy Carolyn Arnold of Hillsboro, Texas passed away January 14, 2023, in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her loving family and husband, Kenneth Arnold, as she was welcomed into the gates of heaven. Celebration of life will be held Tuesday, January 17th 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church in Hillsboro. Visitation will take place prior to the service 1:30 - 3:00 pm.

Nancy Williford was born February 22, 1940, raised in Hillsboro and graduated in 1957 from Hillsboro High School. Nancy married Kenneth on October 14, 1957. The couple made their home in Hillsboro after residing in California while Kenneth served in the Marine Corp. Nancy was a loving and caring daughter to her parents, Nolan and Othell, throughout her life and dedicated her years raising her daughters. She was admired for her strong work ethic and found immense joy and purpose in helping many ladies of Hillsboro feel beautiful. Whether that be through fashion, cosmetology or home decor as the owner of Arnold’s Country Charm for over twenty-five years as well as several other businesses. She was a perfect example of poise and grace for her daughters, granddaughters and great-granddaughters. She exuded positivity and had a wonderful outlook on life. Nancy was a gracious hostess and enjoyed having parties and guests in her home as often as she could. She loved the Lord and showed kindness through her actions to many beloved friends and those who interacted with her in the community. Nancy spent her time traveling with an RV group as well as playing golf and cards. In her retirement she enjoyed spending time with Ken and her family and being “Nana” to her pride and joy, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Nolan and Othell Williford of Hillsboro; and great-granddaughter Betty Caroline Barron. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of sixty-six years, Kenneth Arnold; her two daughters and sons-in-law Larry and Cindy Taylor of Hillsboro and Randall and Melinda Barron of Celina; her brother and sister-in-law Ted and Brenda Williford of Waco;  three grandchildren and their families, Josh and Falon Searle of Prosper, Tyler and Cassidy Barron of Celina, Brad and Carrie Peschel of Grandview; and a legacy of seven great-grandchildren, Barron, Finley, Brooks, Ellie, Saylor, Henry, and Carter.
