Ricky Loamuh Harston

Ricky Loamuh Harston, 60, of Garden City, Texas, passed away on January 26, 2020, in Waco, Texas.   Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Whitney.  Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.   A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.

Ricky was born on May 25, 1959, to Loamuh and Betty Jo (Hanes) Harston in Lubbock, Texas.  He lived in Garden City, Texas where he worked at Glasscock County and was a volunteer fireman for many years.  He was also a member of the Garden City Church of Christ. 

A big supporter of the Garden City Bearkats, Ricky was also a huge Aggie fan and enjoyed watching them play football. 

Ricky was an organ donor and even after his death, he was able to give the gift of sight to two different people.

His father, Lo Harston, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Jo Harston; a brother, Bryan Harston; a niece, Cortney McAnaw and husband, Greg; a nephew, Brennon Harston and wife, Sophie; a great-niece Coeyn and great-nephews, Laken, Sutton, Brady, Charley and Zac.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105-1942.
