Ronnie Jay Storrs

Ronnie Jay Storrs, age 71, of Itasca passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Ronnie was born April 28, 1950, in Haskell, Texas, to E.J. Storrs and Mattie Merle Carruth Storrs. He served in Vietnam from August 31, 1968, to May 28, 1971, earning many metals including the Silver Star. Ronnie came home to start a career in plumbing and was a member of Plumbing and Pipefitters Local # 146.  He later went on to work at General Motors, where he retired from.

Ronnie lived a very quiet life in Itasca, Texas, on his ranch where he raised Hereford cattle, sheep, and dogs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.J. Storrs and Mattie Merle Abbott; brothers, John Wallace (Buddy) Storrs and Edwin J. Storrs, Sr.

Ronnie is survived by his nephews, Edwin J. Storrs, Jr., L.D. Storrs, John W. Storrs, Richard Storrs, and Mike Storrs; many great nieces and a great-nephew; along with many great-great nieces and nephews.
