Shanna Deanne Steele

Shanna Steele Jones, 48, of Whitney Texas passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at West Rest Haven in West, Texas  

Funeral services will be held at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors chapel in Whitney on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10:00 am, followed by graveside service at Smith Bend Coon Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be welcome on Thursday, August 4, 2022 from 6-8pm.

Shanna  was born on June 28, 1974, in San Antonio Texas. She was raised in Huntsville Texas by loving parents, Lanny and Marita Steele. She graduated from Huntsville High School in 1992 and moved to Hillsboro Texas where she attended cosmetology school at Hill College. After working in a salon for a short time, she had a change in career and was employed by the Hill County Sheriff’s Office for several years where she met her spouse of 15 years, Mike Jones. Shanna enjoyed fishing, mowing, casinos, and spending time with friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lanny Steele of Hillsboro, and grandparents Lonye Steele of Hillsboro, and Jim and Irene Hill of Aquilla.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Jones of Whitney; daughter, Shelbey Guerrero of College Station; son, Stacey Guerrero of Whitney; mother, Marita Steele of Whitney; brother, Keith Steele of Whitney; sister, Kim Austin and husband Ben of Whitney; nieces, Bailee and McKinlee Sheddan of Whitney, and Alexis Austin of Tennessee, and nephew, Kasen Austin of Whitney; uncles Jim Hill of Aquilla, and Sammy Steele of Abbott, and several cousins
