Thelma Lee (York) Finstad

Thelma Lee Finstad, age 90 of Whitney, Texas, went to be with the Lord Monday, October 31, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday, November 7, 2022, at the Abiding Life Full Gospel Church in Whitney with Pastor Curtis McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at 1:00 pm at St. Olaf Lutheran Cemetery (Rock Church) in Cranfills Gap. A visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 pm Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral directors in Whitney. 

Thelma was born December 15, 1931 in Ft. Worth, Texas, to Stokes and Pearl Mae (Lynch) York. She worked in fashion for over 20 years and lived in Ft. Worth, Texas for 43 years. Later she moved to Whitney in 1976 and became a member of the Abiding Life Church. Thelma married Fred the love of her life on October 28, 1949, preceding her in death on June 1, 2022. 

Survivors left behind to cherish her memories are her son, Michael Finstad; grandson, Chad Finstad; great grandson, Austin Finstad; sister, Murleen Richardson; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
