Thomas Fuchshuber Obituary

Thomas Carl Fuchshuber, 89, of Azle, formerly of Abbott, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, in Azle.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Pastor Jessie Motley officiating.  Burial will follow at Vaughan Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Thomas was born April 8, 1934, in Bluffton, Indiana, to Oscar Carl and Madonia Lane (Alberson) Fuchshuber.  He spent most of his younger years in Fort Worth and graduated from Carter Riverside High School.  Thomas went on to attend Arlington State College where he would meet his future wife, Dorothy Jean Kennedy.

He worked at Lone Star Gas as a draftsman and worked for Williamson Battery Company and General Dynamics.  Thomas was also employed in the family businesses of Fuchshuber Daily Egg and Fuchshuber Trucking before owning and operating his own trucking company until his retirement. 

Thomas enjoyed shooting guns and reloading ammunition.  He was a life member of the NRA and a member First Baptist Church in Aquilla.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorothy Fuchshuber; daughter, Carol Jean Wareham; and two brothers, Dennis and David Fuchshuber.

Survivors include his sons, Daniel Carl Fuchshuber and wife, Kathy, John Cook Fuchshuber and wife, Rhonda Morgan, and Brian Thomas Fuchshuber; son-in-law, Bill Wareham; two grandchildren, Daniel Carl Fuchshuber, Jr. and wife, Leah, and Stephanie Adele Moore and husband, Matt; and seven great-grandchildren, Ella, Remington, Duke, Avery, Emory, Barrett, and Landon.

Memorials may be made to the Vaughan Cemetery Association.
