Thomas Rose Obituary

Thomas Warnell Rose, age 59 of Whitney passed away Thursday, May 12, 2022 at his residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 16, 2022 at the Open Range Cowboy Church in Whitney with Pastor Gerald Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Heath Cemetery in Whitney. A visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney. 

Thomas Warnell Rose was born July 2, 1962, in Whitney, Texas to Warnell and Frankie (Murphy) Rose. He was the owner of Quality Welding for over 30 years. Tommy was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed running in countless races. He loved being with family and if not working he was always in the shop building unique items.

Tommy is preceded in death by his father, Warnell Rose; his mother, Frankie Rose; father-in-law, John Brooks; brother-in-laws, Donnie Parker and Todd Ryan; and nephew, Justin Money.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kim; sister, Debbie Money and husband Doug, Pam Parker and Jennifer Ryan; sister-in-law, Debbie Collins and husband Daniel; stepdaughter, Mika Runyan and husband Chris; grandchildren, Madison, Cailee and Hunter Runyan; nieces and nephews, Ashley  Becknauld and husband Sean, Reanna Van Dyke and husband Charles, Kaylee Parker; and James Elliott and wife Shelby, Brook Elliott and April Collins; great nieces and nephews, Clara, Ella and Cole Becknauld, and Paisley and Charlotte Van Dyke.

As a good friend stated, Tommy did not judge you on material stuff, it was a loyalty and character thing, you're victories were his victories.
