Velma Lee (McCool) Waits Pelham, age 96, of Whitney passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020, in Hillsboro. Per Velma’s wishes, there will be no services held.

She was born on February 26, 1924, in Malone to Willie Lee and Lillie Mae (Howard) McCool.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include her two sisters, Tessie Good of Arkansas and Pearl Ince of Whitney; and numerous nieces and nephews (some she helped raise).
