Verna May (Davis) Sigmon

Verna May (Davis) Sigmon, age 87, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at her home in Whitney, TX. She was born in Chavez County New Mexico August 18, 1934, to Frank and Anne (Schubert) Davis.

We will miss the loving mother and wife who has passed from her earthly bonds and is comfortably resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Verna married the love of her life, Robert G. Sigmon, on July 11, 1950, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was an excellent bridge player, an avid golfer and faithful participant of water aerobics. Verna was most famous for her wonderful cinnamon rolls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 siblings, her husband, and sons, Harold Lewis Sigmon; Robert Dale Sigmon.

Verna is survived by her sister, Barbara Gastineu; her daughter, Linda DeWitt; 7 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the White Bluff Chapel in Whitney, TX. Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Odessa, TX.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospitality Committee at White Bluff Chapel 1072 White Bluff Dr, Whitney, TX 76692.
