Wanda Faye Rurak

After a hard fought battle with breast cancer Wanda Faye Rurak of Whitney passed from this earthly life to join her Heavenly Father on September 18, 2020 at the age of 78.

A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11:00 am Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney.

Wanda was born on August 1, 1942 in Parma AR to William Hiram Dollar and Clarice J. Dollar. She married Billy Jack Rurak on September 2, 1988. Wanda was an educated woman, a feminist and a former Dallas area NOW president. Not only was she a great leader but a great inspiration to many. She always gave more to this world than she ever took and never expected anything in return. Not only was she a great mentor, she was also a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was beautiful and strong, courageous and loved by many. She will be greatly missed.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, William Hiram and Clarice J (Everett) Dollar; brothers, William Earl Dollar and James Keith Dollar; her daughter, Donna Arlene Autrey; 2 nephews Tony Eugene Anglin and Jeff Alan Reynolds; and a granddaughter, Tabitha Faye Bliss.

She is survived by her children, Sandra Kay Autrey Phillips (Robert) of Pangburn, AR, Carol Ann Autrey Branscum (Billy Clay) of Fox, AR, Meagan Ash of Whitney, TX, and John Caulkins of Arlington, TX, a special family friend who was like a son to her;  8 grandchildren, Samantha Orndorff Dollar, Brandy Orndorff Phillips (Douglas), Jason Sprinkle, Thomas Autrey, Bobby Jack Sprinkle, Hailey Michelle Haskins (Brandon),  John Dale Caulkins (Chrystal) and Carl Lee Autrey; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; 6 siblings, Mary Francis Dollar Green, Wayne Ray Dollar (Lisa) Clara Yvonne Dollar Reynolds Klien (Neal), Kirby Gene Dollar (Pam) , Carolyn Kathleen Dollar Rhinehart and Pamela Ranee Dollar Wheeler (Jim); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
