Wynona (Beady) Taylor

Wynona (Beady) Taylor, 95, of Hillsboro passed away Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Wesley House. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday November 22, 2019 at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Hillsboro with Rev. Paul Clark of Walnut Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Hillsboro. Visitation will be at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019.

Beady was born November 19, 1923 in Hillsboro, Texas to Joe and Willie Williams. She was reared with one sister and three brothers on a farm and knew the meaning of hard work. Beady went to Hillsboro High School and graduated with the class of 1941. On June 26, 1942, she was united in marriage to Birdwell Taylor and they were married for 68 years before his passing in 2011. She retired from Northern Butane/ Propane Gas Company in 1989. She was also a lifelong member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church in Hillsboro.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joe & Willie Williams; a sister, Dora Podsednik; two brothers, James Williams and Ruel Williams; nephews, Ray Podsednik and James Howard Williams.

Survivors include two sons, Gayle Taylor and wife Gloria of San Antonio, Kenneth Taylor and wife Joyce of Hubbard; a brother, Wayne Williams and wife Mary of Itasca; a brother-in-law, Howard Marshall of Ft Smith, Arkansas; grandchildren, Bryan Taylor and wife Paige, Scott Taylor and wife Kristi,  Kristin Orsak and husband Tim, and Ryan Taylor and wife Christina; great grandchildren, Garrett Taylor, Hayden Taylor, and Barrett Taylor; nieces, Pam Jean and husband Rex of Itasca, Jean Patterson and husband Jerry of Denver City. 

We would like to give a special thank you to Pam Jean for her unfailing loyalty to our mother.

The family wishes to thank the Wesley House staff for the care of our mother. She has lived there since 2012 and loved all the staff. She called it home. We thank the Encompass staff and Town Hall for the care she received during her weeks of rehabilitation. We also thank the hospice nurses, Crystal, Paula, and Donna for their compassionate care.
