Yolanda Bandy, age 73, of Hillsboro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May, 18, 2021. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors in Hillsboro. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, May 21, 2021, at Hillcrest Garden of Memory in Hillsboro with Rev. Darrel Beggs officiating.
Yolanda was born on November 20, 1947, to Erasmo Sr. and Maria (Escobedo) Flores in Pharr, Texas. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1966. Yolanda married her loving husband, Phillip Wayne Bandy, on September 18, 1971. She worked for many years at Citizens National Bank in Hillsboro, where she later retired on December 31, 2013. Yolanda loved spending time with her family, sewing, and reading.
She was preceded in death by her father and her sister, Dee Carmichael.
Yolanda is survived by her husband, Phillip Wayne Bandy; mother, Mary Flores; sons, Thomas Bandy and wife, Christi, and Ross Bandy and wife, Lynn; daughters, Lisa Young and husband, John, and Erin Clark; grandchildren, Griffin Bandy, Maya Aldridge, Ryan Bandy, Kari Lemond, Jared Bandy, Clayton Bandy and wife, Virginia, Cooper Dale, and Gus Clark; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie Flores, Jr., and Joe Flores and wife, Patricia; brother-in-law, Earl Carmichael; and nephew, Justin Flores and wife, Tiffany.
